    Session A: Safety in the Oilfields

    This presentation will look at what Flame Resistant and Arc Rating Clothings are, who regulates the garments, and how to know if you are getting a legitimate garment. Mr. Wuolu will discuss how to determine when they should be used, how to select the right clothing, and common places where they are worn. Additionally, the presentation will discuss who is responsible for the payment and care/laundering of the clothing.

    Session B: Energy and the Environment: Current Legal Issues for Non-Renewable Energy Projects

    Energy development through the extraction of natural resources and hardrock mining involves an ever-changing and dynamic legal landscape. Changes in administration, scientific advancements, new laws or regulations, litigation, and public opinion all go into the mix of circumstances that directly and continually impact prospects for energy development and production in the U.S. Nowhere may these variables be felt more acutely than Montana and the surroundingregion, with its long history of various forms of energy and natural resource development. This discussion will feature the background and current status of issues in energy development such as the current regulatory climate, endangered species act issues, federal oil and gas leases, the Keystone XL pipeline, and CERCLA and site remediation.

    Session C: Sun kissed and wind swept: Montana’s renewable energy development landscape

    A discussion of state and local legal and regulatory issues faced by renewable energy development in Montana. The attorney presenters will discuss both the technical legal requirements and the practical application of those issues to projects. Topics to be covered will be taxation, land use, zoning, regulatory, and utility.

    Session D: Enhanced Oil Recovery Opportunities in Montana
